This medium size rocking horse is made from solid wood with rockers, brass pole and hand painted by O. Recinos in 1984.
Made by S&S Woodcarvers of Santa Ana, CA, this design is Diana's Medium Rocking Pony. The pony is in a jumping pose featuring a red saddle on a blanket with a red fringed border. Its unique feature is the red, feathered hooves, similar to a Clydesdale's, a rare feature for an S&S Woodcarver horse.
The rocking horse has a few marks on the rockers from normal use and a small scratch on one side of the saddle (all details are clearly visible in the images). This rocking pony is in very good condition!
It takes up residence near Lomita, CA.
"This beautiful carousel rocking horse that has been cherished by my family for decades. It has been stored in my grandparents attic/playroom, providing endless joy for all their grandchildren, including myself, since the mid-80s. However, after the passing of my grandparents, I have inherited this beloved horse, but unfortunately, I don't have the space to keep it. I would love for it to find a wonderful new home where it can continue to create cherished memories and bring joy to a new generation, just as it has for ours throughout the decades."
